Cilcain Young Farmers Club

Cilcain are a community-minded Young Farmers Club with more than 20 members ranging in age from 12 to 26. Members are active within the county always faring well in competitions including public speaking, stock judging and quizzes. Club chairman Caroline Dawson currently holds posts as chairman of Clwyd YFC’s Activities Committee, Clwyd’s Senior Member of the Year and Vice Chairman of Wales YFC’s Activities. Edward Morgan is this year’s County Chairman and Sara Roberts is County Queen.

Since September the club has enjoyed a well-attended bonfire night in November and raised money for charity by providing hot pot at the village’s harvest festival. The club’s Christmas dance at Rhydymwyn Football Club was also a great success.

Now on top of a full programme of activities the club is busy planning the inaugural Cilcain YFC and District Horse Show to be held at Hope Equestrian Centre on July 11th.
